Please make a note of the new contact information listed below. Any registration sent to the previous email address (vatutorial@review.com) after June 30, 2009 will NOT be received.
Going forward, please direct all tutorial requests and inquiries to vatutorial@corek12.com .
Please direct all phone calls to 877-267-3512 (877 CORE K12).
Beginning school-year 2008-2009, there are two significant changes to the registration process for the Virginia Online Tutorials.
1. The registration process has been amended. Prior to teachers requesting tutorial accounts, it is required that a division level administrator be registered. Teachers may be registered on the same spreadsheet.
It is the responsibility of each division administrator to ensure the student accounts are actively used, as the Virginia Department of Education pays for each account once it is created.
2. Teachers will create student accounts, rather than request them through a spreadsheet.
This year teachers will create their own student accounts by uploading students into a secure Web site using student’s unique ID, which is their State Testing Identifier (STI) .This number is a 10 digit secure number and it is essential that the STI be accurate. The STI will be encrypted as soon as it is entered and will not be visible to anyone.
Specific registration instructions are outlined in the e-mail teachers receive once they register. Instructions are also included in the Teacher Guide found below.
A series of short videos is available.

English/Reading
Enrollment for 2008-2009
The Project Graduation Reading Online Tutorial identifies student academic needs with an online pretest and provides tailored Web-based lessons to meet those needs. Teachers may now enroll seniors who have not passed the English Reading Standards of Learning assessment, or juniors determined to be at-risk of not passing this same assessment. No ninth or tenth grade students are eligible for accounts. At-risk is defined as students who are reading below grade level.
The tutorial will be available at no charge to public school students in Virginia. School-based teachers guide students through the recommended lessons while monitoring their progress with online tools. After completing the lessons, students take an online readiness assessment to determine if they are prepared for the end-of-course reading SOL test.
Although students may engage in lessons from home or school, each school must provide a teacher to serve as a mentor and guide to enrolled students. Teachers should be endorsed in English. Teachers will have access to student accounts, will monitor student progress, and offer individual guidance.
It is the responsibility of each teacher and administrator to ensure that student accounts are actively used. While it is mandatory that one school or division administrator be registered, accounts are also available upon request for other administrators. These accounts will enable users to track the progress of students.
Classroom teachers may create student accounts at any time as long as the eligibility requirements are met. Follow directions on the top of the spread sheet.

Algebra I
Enrollment for 2008-2009
The Project Graduation Algebra I Online Tutorial is designed for high school students who will take the Algebra I end-of-course assessment in 2008-2009. The Algebra I tutorial is available to students in grades 9 through 12 who are at-risk of not passing the SOL assessment. At-risk is defined as students who have failed the Algebra I EOC, Algebra I Part 2 students, or Algebra I students who are not likely to pass the SOL assessment this year.
Students who entered the ninth grade for the first time in 2003 or later must have a verified credit in mathematics to graduate with a standard diploma.

The tutorial will be available at no charge to public school students in Virginia.
