School divisions are encouraged to taketime to recognize the nation’s military servicemen and servicewomen, their families and their children. See Recognize & Celebrate Military Children for ways to celebrate. One way is to encourage students to participate in Purple Up! For Military Kids on April 15. Wearing purple on that date will show support for military kids and thank them for their strength and sacrifices. A number of military family resources are also available.
