Mission
Statement
The mission
of the School Nurse Institute Partnership is to contribute to the
professional development of school nursing personnel to enhance professional
practice and health care of students in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Standards
National Association of School Nurses, Standards of Professional School Nursing Practice, 1998.Goals
- Provide a regional approach to educational activities for school nurses.
- Coordinate expanded educational activities for school nurses throughout Virginia.
- Promote access to school health education content through the use of instructional technology.
- Assess the learning needs of school nursing personnel.
- Provide educational activities for unlicensed personnel providing school health services.
- Support academic preparation school nursing.
