Coordinators' Academy
July 21-22, 2009 |
The Virginia Department of Education is pleased to announce a professional development academy on July 21 and 22, 2009, for coordinators in the following areas:
- Title I, Part A, Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged
- Title II, Part A, Preparing, Training, and Recruiting High-Quality Teachers and Principals
- Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education through Technology
- Title III, Part A, Language Instruction for Limited English Proficient and Immigrant Students
The focus of the first day of the academy will be to provide general information to all coordinators as well as specific information for funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The focus of the second day of the academy is designed for coordinators with up to two years of experience as an administrator for one or more of the federal programs referenced above. Coordinators may choose to register for one or both days of the academy.
