Instructional Activity or Strategy
What Do I See?
This activity helps students improve their observation skills and introduces
the concept of perspective or point of view.
Steps To Complete the Activity
Have pairs of children sit facing each other. One partner plays actor;
the other plays mimic. The mimic must imitate the actor’s behavior
exactly, copying every action and expression. Pairs then switch roles—the
actor becomes the mimic, the mimic becomes the actor.
Discussion
Which was easier, being the actor or being the mimic?
Which did you like better?
