Virginia Standards of Learning for All
Subjects and Grade Levels
The Standards of Learning for Virginia Public Schools describe the commonwealth's expectations for student learning and achievement in grades K-12 in English, mathematics, science, history and social science, technology, the fine arts, foreign language, health and physical education, and driver education.

The Virginia Standards of Learning Enhanced Scope and
Sequence is a resource that provides sample lesson plans and instructional resources intended to help
teachers align their classroom instruction with the Standards of Learning.

Blueprints The Standards of Learning test blueprints serve as a
guide to teachers, parents, and students in that they show Standards of
Learning covered by a test, reporting categories of test items, number of test
items, and general information about how the test questions are constructed.
Standards of Learning Released Test
Items These files are a form of the tests that students across the
Commonwealth of Virginia took as part of the Virginia Standards of Learning
(SOL) Assessments. The test questions are representative of the content and
skills included in the Virginia SOL tests and are provided to help you
understand the format of the tests and questions.
Project Graduation Project Graduation
provides additional opportunities for students to earn the verified units of
credit required to receive a high school diploma.
Project Graduation Online Tutorials
The tutorial identifies student academic needs with an online pretest and
provides tailored Web-based lessons to meet those needs. The tutorial is
available at no charge to public school students in Virginia.
Virginia Electronic Practice Assessment Tool
The resources here are intended to support and enhance student preparation for the Standards of Learning Assessment. These tutorials provide direct exposure to the format and structure of the questions, and enable users to receive direct feedback for each item. Users can also download and print resource information for tips, techniques, and strategies related to reading and writing.
VGLA Preparation of Evidence Optional Forms
The forms on this page may be used to assist with the development of a collection of evidence (COE) that is submitted as a Virginia Grade Level Alternative (VGLA) assessment. Print the directions and follow the procedures that have been outlined.

Mathematics Vocabulary
Language in mathematics is important because it is necessary for communication, mathematics reasoning, and precision. Words, symbols, and diagrams must map onto each other. The definitions or explanations given are not definitions or explanations that students should memorize but are the mathematics that the teacher should know in order to provide in-depth instruction in the content.

Global Learning Virginia Standards of Learning

Curriculum and Administrative Guide for Driver Education in Virginia
As required by §22.1-205 of the Code of Virginia, the Virginia Board of Education has established a standardized program of driver education fro public, private, and commercial schools. The Driver Education Standards of Learning for Driver Education in Virginia prescribe the content and administrative requirements of a state-approved driver education program.
