Examiner Tips for 2008 SELP Test Administration
Prior to Testing: - Prepare students for taking the test
- Review bubbling procedure with students
- Become familiar with all non-secure materials
- Review detailed Speaking Test Rubric and Speaking Test Form
During Testing:
- Say to students, “If you can’t respond, its okay.”
- Encourage students
- Use the stopping algorithm when necessary
- Monitor the classroom
- Check subtest symbols in booklets
- Have a supply of No. 2 pencils with erasers
- Test Materials: non-secure DFA (Reading, Writing, and coding information), secure DFA (Listening and Speaking prompts only), Test booklets, and Response booklets
Post Testing: - Check students’ response booklets to make sure that all erasures are complete with no stray marks
- Make sure the demographic information on the students’ response booklet has been filled out completely
- Refer to the DFA to prepare materials for return to your building coordinator
