Virginia Honor Schools. Grant Activities for Honor Schools
AP and Dual Enrollment Teacher Training

Scholarships

Scholarships of up to $2,000 will be offered to each Honor School for teachers interested in taking courses to prepare them to teach Advanced Placement or dual enrollment courses. The scholarship will assist in covering tuition, room, board, and travel expenses to attend AP training institutes in teacher subject areas or tuition for graduate-level courses to provide the credentials required to teach dual enrollment courses.

School divisions of the targeted schools will be required to supplement and document funds for any additional required expenses so there is no cost to the teacher for the AP institutes or the graduate-level courses per participating teacher.

Application (Word document)
Applications for scholarships will be accepted on a continuing basis.
Recipients will be notified of award by March 2007.

Recipients must submit documentation of training and request for reimbursement form no later than August 31, 2007, to receive reimbursements.
