Project Graduation academic year and summer and continuation grants are awarded to school divisions or groups of school divisions cooperating within a region to assist juniors and seniors with earning the verified credits needed to graduate. The Project Graduation Honor Schools Grant is an opportunity for Honor Schools to supplement Project Graduation funds they may already receive from their school divisions. Project Graduation Honor Schools Grants will be awarded to each of the thirty Virginia National Governors Association Honor Schools up to $5,000 each. These funds may be used to pay for tutoring, supplemental materials, and student and teacher incentives to assist juniors and seniors who have attained the appropriate standard credits but need to earn verified credits in English reading, English writing, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, and all History and Social Science end of course tests. Honor Schools should include the use of the Virginia Online Reading Tutorial as well as the Virginia Online Algebra Tutorial in their tutorial programs.
