Virginia Department of Education Sponsored Workshop on School Leadership

This project was made possible through a grant from The Wallace Foundation and the dedicated work of principals, representatives from the principal associations, college and university faculty and staffs, superintendents, and board members. The purpose of the meeting is to inform school division and college and university officials about this leadership initiative, provide guidance in recommending individuals for the Principal of Distinction Administration and Supervision endorsement, share information on mentoring and coaching programs, and discuss how the standards and indicators can be used to help guide professional development and strengthen leadership preparation programs.
