SUBJECT:	We the People Summer Institute

The Center for Civic Education will offer its fourth annual summer institute, We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution. The institute will provide lectures by constitutional scholars, lessons demonstrated by middle and high school teachers, a visit to Montpelier, and a simulated Congressional hearing.

The institute will be held July 5-15, 2004, at James Madison University and is limited to 30 teachers. Room, board, and travel expenses will be provided to all participants. In addition, participants will receive a classroom set of We the People textbooks.
