America’s
First Freedom Competition for Secondary Students |
The Council of America’s First Freedom
is offering an opportunity for students in grades 9 through 12 to compete in
the America’s First Freedom Student Competition. This year’s theme is
Religious Freedom: My Right – My Responsibility. Students can compete in the
following categories: essay, oratory, or poster. First place prize is a $1000
cash award. Second place prize is a $500 cash award. Teachers of winning
students will be honored with a Jefferson cup and a $150 gift certificate
toward the purchase of school supplies.
The deadline for submission of entries
is Saturday, October 30, 2004. Rules, submission instructions, and lesson plans
can be accessed by going to the Council for America’s First Freedom Web site at
