Regional Upward Bound Mathematics and Science Summer Residential Program |
The 2005
Regional Upward Bound Mathematics and Science Summer Residential Program is a
federally funded educational program designed to introduce high school students
to mathematics and science careers. In
2005, the program will be located on the campus of the University of Maryland,
Baltimore County. The U.S. Department
of Education pays all expenses for field trips, meals, and housing for the
six-week summer residential program.
The deadline for submitting applications is December 10, 2004.
To qualify,
students must meet the following criteria:
The
curriculum for the summer residential program includes science (biology,
chemistry, physics, and engineering), mathematics (algebra, geometry,
trigonometry, and calculus), technical writing, Spanish, career planning,
science ethics, computer, and SAT preparation.
