Contest |
The Virginia Outdoor Writers Association,
Inc. is sponsoring their annual youth writing contest open to all students in
grades 9 through 12. This year’s theme is “What I learned about myself from a
memorable outdoors experience.” The
organization encourages submissions from any Virginia student active in
outdoors pursuits or clubs. The goal of the annual contest is to reward young
people for excellence in communicating their personal experiences in the
outdoors.
The deadline for all post marked or
electronic entries is Friday, January 14, 2005. Prizes from sponsoring businesses will be awarded to first,
second, and third place winners. The first place winner will have the honor of
having his/her article published in Virginia Wildlife magazine.
