SUPTS. MEMO. NO. 195
December 20, 1996 |
| TO: | Division Superintendents |
| FROM: | Richard T. La Pointe
Superintendent of Public Instruction |
| SUBJECT: | Payment of Fees for Licensure |
A new fee structure for teacher licensure was approved by the Board of Education and implemented statewide on September 1, 1996. The new fee schedule was announced in Superintendent's Memorandum Number 137. The Superintendent's Memorandum stated that the payment of will be flagged, noting that no additional actions will be made on the license until payment is received. The original fee and the $25 charge for the returned check will need to be submitted in the form of a money order, cashier's check, or certified check. I hope this policy revision will assist educators in submitting payment for action on their licenses. Please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Thomas A. Elliott, Assistant Superintendent for Compliance, at (804) 371-2522 if you have any questions. RTL:psp
