Lessons from the Bay |
The Virginia Department of Education is pleased to
provide teachers and school divisions with the Web site Lessons from the Bay
(LFB). The Web site highlights grades 3 through 6 Science Standards of Learning
by providing information along with a variety of classroom activities and
projects related to protecting and restoring the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
Lessons from the Bay
is designed for elementary and middle school teachers to use as a guide in the
instructional planning process for teaching watershed education in keeping with
the state’s commitment in the Chesapeake 2000 Agreement. The LFB Web site includes a process model, an instructional framework, a
set of lesson plans, a project action guide, and
a glossary of wetland terms.
