Revision to 2006-2007 Title II, Part D, Enhancing
Education Through Technology Formula Subgrant, Allocations under Provisions
of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Public Law 107-110 |
This
communication is to inform you of revisions to the 2006-2007 Title II, Part D,
allocations that were released in Superintendent’s Memorandum, Informational
Number 157, dated August 18, 2006. The revisions are necessary because of an
error in U.S. Census Bureau poverty data used to generate the Title I
allocations. The amounts noted for each school division are based on the best
information available at this time from the U.S. Department of Education.
Attachment A contains the revised 2006-2007 school
division allocations for Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education Through
Technology Formula Subgrant. The total amount of funds allocated to school
divisions is $2,003,586.10.
The Virginia Department of Education will allocate the revised amount to object code 0000 through the Online Management of Education Grant Award (OMEGA) system. A budget transfer will need to be completed by school divisions to distribute the changes in allocation to appropriate budget object codes. Submission should be made to the OMEGA system at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/VDOE/omega/. The 2006-2007 Title II, Part D, funds must be encumbered by September 30, 2008, and final reimbursement requests must be submitted via OMEGA by December 1, 2008.
Questions regarding the Title II, Part D, funding should be directed to Mark Saunders, educational technology specialist, at mark.saunders@doe.virginia.gov or (804) 786-0307.
