Supplement to 2005-2006 Title II, Part D,
Enhancing Education Through Technology Formula Subgrant,
Allocations under Provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Public
Law 107-110 |
This
communication is to inform you of supplements to the 2005-2006 Title II, Part D,
allocations that were released in Superintendent’s Memorandum, Informational
Number 151, dated August 5, 2005. The supplements reflect a decision by the U.S.
Department of Education to reduce the amount of funds it reserved in FY 2005 to
carry out national activities under Section 2421 of
the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
Attachment A contains the supplement amounts to 2005-2006
school division allocations for Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education Through Technology Formula Subgrant.
The total amount of the supplement allocated to school divisions is $9,125.23.
The Virginia Department of Education will allocate the supplement to object code 0000 through the Online Management of Education Grant Award (OMEGA) system. A budget transfer will need to be completed by school divisions to distribute the supplement to appropriate budget object codes. Submission should be made to the OMEGA system at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/VDOE/omega/. The 2005-2006 Title II, Part D, funds must be encumbered by September 30, 2007, and final reimbursement requests must be submitted via OMEGA by December 1, 2007.
