Procedures
for Completing the Educational Registry Application Data Collection DUE: August 31, 2007 |
On July 16,
2007, the Department of Education retired its School and Staff Administration
(SCHID) application. It was replaced by a
more streamlined, user-friendly application called Educational Registry
Application (ERA).
ERA should be used to update
the school division, school, and staff directory information beginning July 27, 2007.
A verification form provided within ERA should be returned to Educational
Applications at the Department of Education by August
31, 2007.
The
information collected is the Department of Education's official means of
identifying schools for No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) reporting, mailings, contacts
for Web-based data submissions, and the
Virginia Educational Directory. Additionally, current contact information is
used for the Superintendent
of Public Instruction’s communication with the division superintendents. As with the former School
and Staff Administration collection, it is important that all contact data within ERA be kept current.
Detailed
instructions for ERA are available on the Department’s Web site at:
http://www.doe.virginia.gov/VDOE/Publications/ADMN/datacoll/coll.htm.
Questions or comments
relating to the Educational Registry Application should be directed to
