SUBJECT: |
Fiscal Year
2007 Career and Technical Education Entitlements (State Funds) |
The fiscal year 2007 state entitlements for career
and technical education for each school division, including regional center
entitlements, are contained in Attachment A.
Regional center entitlements will be paid directly to each center’s
fiscal agent. The amounts contained in
Attachment A will be paid to school divisions on June 15, 2007, by electronic
funds transfer.
State funds distributed to eligible school divisions are based upon actual expenditures from the prior fiscal year and the total funds appropriated by the General Assembly for occupational preparation and adult occupational programs. To determine each school division’s fiscal year 2007 allocation for occupational preparation and adult occupational programs, state funding is divided by the total fiscal year 2006 expenditures (both state and local funds) to determine the reimbursement percentage for each program. For fiscal year 2007, it has been determined that each eligible school division can be reimbursed for 26.11 percent of its fiscal year 2006 occupational preparation expenditures and for 26.30 percent of its fiscal year 2006 adult occupational program expenditures. Those school divisions that did not operate these programs in fiscal year 2006 and did not record any local expenditures in fiscal year 2006 will not receive any state reimbursement in fiscal year 2007.
Questions concerning the state entitlements may be addressed to W. Terry Dougherty, grants administrator, at (804) 225-3349 or Terry.Dougherty@doe.virginia.gov.
