The Virginia Association for
Supervision and Curriculum Development (VASCD) extends an invitation to all division
superintendents, principals, assistant principals, and instructional leaders to
attend the 2007 Annual VASCD Conference entitled School Learning Communities:
Preparing for a Global Work Ethic that will be held November
28–November 30, 2007, at the Williamsburg Marriott,
The pre-conference on November 28, 2007, will
provide a workshop conducted by John Antonetti. Mr. Antonetti will
address the eight qualities teachers can embed in student work to bring about
higher levels of engagement.
Attendees will be provided opportunities on November
29, 2007, to hear comments from Alan November addressing “Cultivating a
World-Class Work Ethic” and
Anthony Mohammed “There Is No Magic Dust: Building a Professional Learning Community
from the Ground Up.” On November 30, 2007, attendees will hear Mike Schmoker’s presentation on “The
