Teachers |
The Virginia
Center for the Teaching of International Studies will offer its second one-week
summer institute for middle and high school teachers entitled Law-Related
Issues in Europe and Africa.
Participation
is limited to 22 Virginia middle or high school teachers of social studies and
foreign language. No more than 10 participants will be selected from the
Richmond metropolitan area. All participants will receive a $300 stipend upon
completion of the program requirements. Three graduate credits are optional.
Tuition cost for the three credits is $318.
The institute
will begin Monday, July 8, 2002, and end Friday, July 12, 2002. It will be held
at the Christian Childrens Fund headquarters in Richmond, Virginia. Lodging,
mileage, and per diem will be paid for participants outside the Richmond area.
Two follow-up sessions will be held, one in fall 2002 and one in spring
2003.
