Pledge
Across America |
Students
across the nation will have an opportunity to participate in the annual Pledge
Across America along with President Bush and Secretary Rod Paige on October 11,
2002. Celebration U.S.A.,Inc., with the support of the United States Department
of Education, sponsors this program and provides free resources for educators
to support the teaching of American history and citizenship.
President Bush has called on educators to increase students understanding and appreciation of the foundations of our country and to instill in our students a greater appreciation for American citizenship. The Pledge Across America program is one activity that promotes an appreciation for American citizenship.
