Love-A-Tree
Activity Kit |
Virginias natural resource agencies provide
the Love-A-Tree activity kit designed for use by elementary teachers eager for
activities and supplies that meet the Resource strand in the Science Standards
of Learning. The theme for this years
Love-A-Tree activity kit is Virginia's watersheds. The activity kits contain the following:
Lesson plans
Watershed
Connections student activity book
Watershed
poster
Information
about forest buffers
Supplies for
some of the activities.
For example, an aluminum pan, aluminum foil,
drink mix, and water bottle are provided for the Whats Your Watershed Address? activity. Craft boxes and labels assist in conducting
a water cycle lesson called The Incredible Journey.
The Love-A-Tree activity kits can only be
ordered from October 15, 2002, to November 15, 2002, and will need to be picked
up during the month of December. Orders
