Annual National Career Development Month Poster and Poetry Contests |
Attached is a
brochure designating November 17-23, 2003, as National Career Development
Week. The week is designed to highlight
the importance of life-long career development. It is suggested that events and activities be planned to help
examine lives, careers, and the alternatives available to increase personal
success. In addition, November 19 has
been designated as National Career Development Day and the entire month of
November as National Career Development Month.
Included in
the brochure is an official entry form from the National Career Development
Association (NCDA), announcing the 38th Annual NCDA Career
Development Poetry and Poster Contest.
Every adult and student enrolled in public, private, and parochial
schools is eligible to compete. All
entries must be submitted before December 15, 2003, and winners will be
announced on the NCDA website at www.ncda.org
by April 15, 2004.
Please copy
and distribute copies of the brochure to counselors and teachers in your
school. If you have questions
concerning the contest, please contact Dr. Jan Harris (jharris1@mail.vak12ed.edu), career
connections specialist at 804-225-3370.
