Virginia Association for Supervision
and Curriculum Development Annual Conference |
The
Virginia Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (VASCD) extends
an invitation to all administrators and other professional educators within
your school or school division to participate in the 2006 VASCD Annual
Conference. The conference theme for
this year is Student Achievement:
ALL Means ALL and is
scheduled for November 30 December 1, 2006, at the Williamsburg
Marriott in Williamsburg, Virginia.
This conference will
be highlighted by presentations by Dr. Ruby Payne, Rick and Becky DuFour, and
Dr. Billy Cannaday, Jr. Dr. Payne,
author of the book A Framework for
Understanding Poverty, will provide a general session addressing the topic,
ALL Means ALL: What We Need to Know About Children From Poverty. Rick and Becky Dufour, known for their work
regarding professional learning communities, will provide a general session,
Learning Communities for ALL Children.
Dr. Cannaday will provide the official welcome for the conference. A variety of breakout sessions will also be
presented by practicing educators from across the Commonwealth.
