Andrews Air Force Base Joint Service Open House Invitation

The Secretary of Defense will host the annual Joint Service Open House (JSOH) held at Andrews Air Force Base (AAFB) on Friday, May 18, 2007, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. with installation gates opening at 8 a.m. The JSOH is an observance set aside to commemorate the Armed Forces and Armed Forces Day. This joint venture includes elements from the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. The program consists of aerial and static displays, exhibits, special demonstrations, and military band concerts.

If your school is interested in attending this commemoration of our armed forces, please respond by Monday, April 2, 2007, by e-mailing the AAFB School Liaison Officer, Ms. Cynthia Nunes-Taijeron at 316MSS.SLO@Andrews.af.mil. Please include your schools name, address, telephone number, and the name of school point of contact with a cell phone number and e-mail address. Please include an estimated number of students and chaperones who are planning to attend.

Please complete the attached Bus Driver and Chaperone Roster (attachment A) and the Student, Chaperone, and School Roster (attachment B), which provides detailed information concerning individuals who plan to attend the JSOH, and submit them to Ms. Cynthia Nunes-Taijeron, the AAFB School Liaison Officer at 316MSS.SLO@Andrews.af.mil by Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Faxed material will not be accepted. This information will be required for admittance to the base and is vital not only for security purposes but in the event a child becomes separated from his/her group.

Once the School Liaison Officer receives school point of contact information, the Bus Driver and Chaperone Roster, and the Student, Chaperone, and School Roster, you will receive bus procedures, security policies, and other instructions for the event.
