Prevention Connections, a charitable organization committed to improving the health of individuals and communities, is seeking nominations for its third annual Virginia Youth Advocate of the Year Award. The Youth Advocate of the Year Award honors the outstanding work of Virginia's leading youth advocates for providing leadership in promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
The winner of the Virginia 2011 Youth Advocate of the Year Award will receive a $2,500 scholarship. Nominees must be a 2011 graduating senior, and the deadline for nominations is March 15, 2011.
The winner will be notified the last week of March, and will receive the award at the national 2011 Reducing Tobacco Use Conference in Newport News on April 5, 2011.
