The Future Educators Association (FEA) professional organization has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education, as a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO). Its mission is to foster the recruitment and development of prospective educators worldwide through the dissemination of innovative programming and relevant research. FEA is the co-curricular student organization for Virginia’s Teachers for Tomorrow program. FEA provides a unique program of career and leadership development for secondary and postsecondary students; recognition and leadership activities directly related to the education profession; student-led professional conference; scholarship opportunities; opportunities to serve in leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels; and access to a state-of-the art social networking site with program and career resources.
The first Virginia FEA State Conference will be held on April 29-30, 2011, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and Doubletree Hotel, 1900 Pavilion Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia. The State Conference welcomes FEA advisers, members, and alumni; Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow (VTfT) students, instructors, and alumni; colleges and universities; and individuals and businesses who support best practices in education.
