SUBJECT: MODSIM World 2011 Conference and Expo

The MODSIM World 2011 Conference and Expo, Overcoming Critical Global Challenges with Modeling and Simulation, will be held October 11–14, 2011, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. MODSIM World is a unique multidisciplinary international conference for the exchange of modeling and simulation knowledge, research and technology across industry, government and academia. Conference activities are designed to achieve the following outcomes: 

The Conference activities support the Virginia Standards of Learningand the career pathways system, and promote student interest in STEM, MODSIM, and STEM-related career aspirations.

The kindergarten–16 education track highlights both research and technological advances through panel discussions, invited speakers, exhibits, workshops, tools, and professional development activities with a focus on their application to 21st century teaching, learning, and work force development for a global economy.  School division administrators, STEM educators at all levels, and other stakeholders who share an interest in teaching, learning, and work force development are invited to attend the MODSIM World 2011 Conference and Expo.
