This memorandum provides information regarding the efforts of the Virginia House of Delegates Legislative Education and Development Office to promote America's Legislators Back to School Program. The official House of Delegates participation period will be throughout the 2011-2012 academic school year. The program is a national civics program designed to educate young citizens about the legislative process and build links between schools and legislators. This is an opportunity to improve students' knowledge of government, and help them understand how legislators try to solve public problems.
