The Virginia AdvancED SACS Council extends an invitation to all division superintendents, principals, assistant principals, instructional leaders, and teachers to attend the 2012 Annual AdvancED SACS Conference entitled Inspire, Create, and Accelerate. The conference will be held February 27-28, 2012, at The Williamsburg Hospitality House in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The conference will provide quality professional development sessions designed to explore how accreditation and school improvement can increase school and district effectiveness. Information will be shared regarding the new AdvancED Standards, Adaptive System of School Improvement Support Tools (ASSIST), protocol, and tools that will be used by schools and districts for Quality Assurance Review visits beginning July 2012. These new components of the accreditation process have been designed to positively impact student performance.
