Preliminary FY 1996 School Division Allocations Safe
and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1994 |
Enclosed you will find the preliminary FY 1996 allocation tables for local school divisions. These preliminary figures are provided to assist with planning for the 1996-97 school year. Tentative allocations for Virginia are as follows: VIRGINIA ALLOTMENT $6,021,685 Governor's Share (20%) $1,204,337 Virginia Department of Education (80%) $4,817,348 $6,021,685 Virginia Department of Education $ 433,561 Programs and Administration School Divisions (70%) $3,068,651 School Divisions (30% - Greatest Need) $1,315,136 $4,817,348 The enclosed tables provide estimates of school division allocations under SDFSCA State Grants at the level recommended by the House of Representatives and the Senate Appropriations Committee. Congressional budget negotations are ongoing at this time, we have not been provided any definitive information from the U. S. Department of Education about the final FY 1996 allocations.
