As stated in Supts. Memo No. 83, Administrative, dated December 15, 1995, the summary count for the 1996 school census is due to the Department on or before Thursday, August 15, 1996. Methods for reporting the summary count include: Option 1: Form SA.030, 1996 Virginia School Census Superintendent's Summary of Census Returns. A copy of the form is attached. Option 2: Electronic transmission via VA.PEN. Send your census count in a standard e-mail message to mmallory@pen.k12.va.us or jmathews@pen.k12.va.us. For option 1, use the following address or fax number to submit the count for your division: 1996 Census Virginia Department of Education Division of Management Information Systems P. O. Box 2120 Richmond, Virginia 23218-2120 FAX: (804) 371-8978 Follow up verification forms requiring division superintendent signature will be transmitted following receipt of census counts.
