SUBJECT: Final Title VI Entitlements

  
  Virginia has received notification of the 1996-97 grant
  award for the Title VI program in the amount of $6,151,443. 
  Attached is a listing by school division of the final Title
  VI entitlements for 1996-97.
  
  If your division has not submitted its application for Title
  VI funds, you are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. 
  Please remember that the encumbrance date in the division's
  grant award letter for the 1996-97 grant cannot predate the
  date on which the application is received in the Title VI
  office in approvable form.
  
  Questions about your allocation or about the completion of
  the Title VI application should be addressed to the
  specialist assigned to your school division.  You may also
  contact Mr. George Irby, Director, Office of Compensatory
  Programs at (804) 225-2869 for assistance.
