Distribution of Funds for Implementation of the Severity
Rating Scale for Managing Speech-Language Caseloads |
To implement a recommendation of Item 154 of the 1994 Appropriation Act, the Virginia Department of Education will distribute funds for designing and implementing a plan for the use of the Severity Rating Scale in the management of caseloads of speech-language pathologists. All local school divisions may request funds, up to $500, for training of school personnel in the use of the Severity Rating Scale. Training activities must be completed by September 30, 1996. Technical assistance for training may be obtained through institutions of higher education, and persons in local school divisions and in private practice who have a working knowledge in the use of the Severity Rating Scale. Attached please find a request form for the grant and a suggested list of persons who are willing to provide technical assistance.
