SUPTS. MEMO. NO. 32
February 2, 1996 |
| TO: | Division Superintendents |
| FROM: | William C. Bosher, Jr. Superintendent of Public Instruction |
| SUBJECT: | Workshop on Downloading/Printing Superintendent's Memos |
In an effort to respond to the needs of the school
divisions, the Department of Education will conduct five-hour
workshops on downloading and printing Superintendent's
Memos from Virginia's PEN. The first workshop, which will
serve as a "prototype" for all of the others, will be held
on March 5, 1996, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Attached is a
course outline to help you determine if such a class would
be helpful to your staff. For this first "test" class,
attendance will be limited to 20 participants on a "first
come, first serve" basis. When the first class is
completed, additional classes will be scheduled to
accommodate at least one person from each school division.
Completion of the attached form by February 19, 1996 will
enable us to begin planning for the workshops.
Unfortunately, the Department will not be able to cover
expenses for the person you nominate.
Please contact Richard Schley, (rschley@pen.k12.va.us or
804/371-6882) for any questions.
