Request for Public Comment on Virginia's Consolidated Application
for the four-year period, July 1, l996, through June 30, 2000, under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 as amended by the Improving America's School Act of 1994 |
On February 22, 1996, the State Board of Education approved for dissemination and public comment Virginia's Consolidated State Application under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 as amended by the Improving America's Schools Act of 1994. The application outlines how the state will carry out its reform initiatives and use resources of programs included in the Application to support planning and delivery of collaborative, cooperative, and integrated services. It also details the planned consolidation of administrative funds for those programs for which such consolidation is allowable. Please make the enclosed application available in a central location within your division for review by administrators, teachers, parents, and members of your school community. Comments are invited, and may be submitted on or before April 5, l996, to: Mr. George H.
