SUBJECT: 1996-98 Funded Instructional SOQ Positions 

  
  Supts. Memo. No. 3 (Regulatory) dated April 5, 1996 provided
  information on the 1996-98 Aid to Localities appropriations
  approved by the General Assembly for the Standards of Quality
  (SOQ) accounts.  A significant portion of these appropriations
  represent the state share of the cost for the instructional
  positions calculated for each school division.
  
  Attachment A provides a brief narrative outlining the
  methodology used for calculating the required number of
  instructional positions.  In addition, Attachment B provides
  the 1994-95 student enrollment data, instructional staffing
  levels, and 1996-98 funded instructional positions calculated
  for each locality.
