Data Collection Forms for Students Not Graduating Because
They Have Not Passed the Literacy Passport Test |
Informational Superintendent's Memo #107 dated June 7, 1996 referenced a two-stage data collection process regarding students who are not graduating this year solely because they have not passed all portions of the Literacy Passport Test (LPT). Superintendent's Memo #107 conveyed the first part of the data collection; the purpose of this memo is to convey the second part. Attached are data collection forms and instructions to collect detailed information regarding these students. We have tried to ask for the pertinent information in an efficient manner. One form should be filled out for each student not graduating this June solely because he or she has not passed all portions of the LPT. We have enclosed five (5) copies for each school division. Please feel free to make additional copies as necessary. These data collection forms are due to the Department of Education on or before July 17, 1996. We extend our appreciation to you in seeing that we are provided with this important information. Questions about this data collection should be directed to Judy Singh at (804) 786-1390, Dan Keeling at (804) 371-2769 or Cam Harris at (804) 225-2913. WCBJr/mwc Attachments: This memo and its attachment will be sent to the superintendent's office.
