SUBJECT: Quality Education Data Survey 



  In Superintendent's Memorandum Number 168 the Department of
  Education (DOE), requested your assistance with technology
  surveys prepared in cooperation with Quality Education Data
  (QED), Denver, Colorado.  One survey was sent to each
  central office and a second survey was sent to schools.  One
  hundred twenty-six school divisions participated.  QED
  received 98 completed surveys for central offices and 1,117
  completed surveys for schools.

  Enclosed is a copy of the 1996 Virginia Technology Survey
  Report.  Enclosed also is a brief DOE summary of findings
  relating to topics of interest to many leaders.
