| SUBJECT: | Vocational Education Entitlements for 1997-98 |
Attached is a printout reflecting the 1997-98 Carl Perkins Federal entitlements for each school division. These funds will be distributed in the following manner once your local plan has been approved: 50 percent of the entitlement on the December 30, 1997, EFT and 30 percent on the March 15, 1998, EFT. The remaining 20 percent of the entitlement must be requested through the reimbursement process. Instructions and forms will be sent out at a later date explaining how to claim the remaining 20 percent. A Supts. Memo. concerning state entitlements for Occupational Preparation, Adult, and Equipment will be distributed once the accountability report has been received from all school divisions and has been audited. School divisions may use the amount of state funds they received in 1996-97 as an estimate for 1997-98 until final entitlements are computed.
