| SUBJECT: | Payment of State Funds for the National School Lunch Program for School Year 1996-97 |
The state reimbursement for the National School Lunch Program for 1996-97 will be paid by Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) on or around November 26, 1997. Attached is a list of the payments that will be made. These payments reflect any upward or downward adjustments which were made in the number of lunches claimed during school year 1996-97. In accordance with Federal regulations, this payment is based on the number of reimbursable lunches served to children during school year 1996-97. The reimbursement rate is approximately $0.056305 per reimbursable lunch. Funds earned by individual SNP Units were calculated using the submitted monthly electronic claims data, plus or minus any adjustments, multiplied by the state reimbursement rate.
