Enclosed is the most recent "Status of Legislation Impacting Education". This tracking report is also available on the Internet on the DOE home page at the following address: http://www.pen.k12.va.us. As a reminder, Virginia's PEN users have access to the DOE home page. Additional information regarding the legislative session and bills can be found on the Virginia Legislative Information System at http://leg1.state.va.us. At this website you will find a status of meetings, bills and bill summaries that may be of interest to you. The enclosed tracking report is for your reference, and most of the legislation impacting K-12 education is listed with a status of each bill. Every Friday afternoon, we will update and put this report on the DOE website for your convenience. Following the close of the session, I will forward a second report to you showing final action taken on the bills.
