| SUBJECT: | Report of Graduates Data Collection: Notice of Changes for 1997-98 Reporting |
The Report of Combined Term (Regular and Summer School) Graduates for the 1997-98 school year will request additional information required for the School Performance Report Card. A separate count of the number of graduates receiving the General Educational Development (GED) certificate and the number of students who did not receive a diploma or certificate will now be requested on Table A. In addition, information will be requested on the number of students in the International Baccalaureate Program and the number of graduates receiving International Baccalaureate (IB) diplomas. Attached are sample instructions for preparing the revised Combined Term (Regular and Summer) Graduate Report and a sample report form. The sample instructions and form are also available on the Department's website at www.pen.k12.va.us. Follow the links from the Data and Publications button. This is an advance notice of the change in the data collection. The actual collection instruments and instructions will be preprinted for each secondary school in your division and will be sent under an Administrative Superintendents Memo in early May 1998.
