The Office of the Secretary of Education is hosting a two-day workshop for school divisions, local governments, museums, and institutions of higher education on the state's Century Date Change Initiative. The workshop will be held at the James Monroe Building, 101 N. 14th Street, in Richmond, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29. The workshop will be conducted by staff from the state's Century Date Change Initiative Project Office. The agenda for both days is attached. As you may know, Governor Gilmore created the Century Date Change Project Office to coordinate the statewide Year 2000 effort. The Secretary's office has asked that we strongly encourage a representative from each school division to attend the workshop. You are free to attend on one or both days.
