| SUBJECT: | Advance Copy of Sample Items from Spring 1998 Standards of Learning Assessments |
This memo conveys an advance copy of each Sample Item Booklet for the Spring 1998 Standards of Learning Assessments. Booklets are enclosed for: 1998 Sample Items for Grade 3 Tests 1998 Sample Items for Grade 5 Tests 1998 Sample Items for Grade 8 Tests 1998 Sample Items for End-of-Course Tests At the beginning of the 1998-99 school year, copies will be sent to each school division for distribution to students and parents. These copies will be sent directly from Harcourt Brace Educational Measurement to each school building with extra copies shipped to your Division Director of Testing. The boxes shipped to schools will be labeled as containing SOL sample item booklets. Principals should be instructed to distribute the sample item booklets to students and teachers.
