SUBJECT: Shipping Date for Copies of the Standards of Learning Booklets for Parents

  
The bid for the extensive printing job for the necessary
copies of the SOL booklets for parents that the Department
is providing each school division has been awarded to
Phillips Brothers in Springfield, Illinois.  The booklets
will be bundled in the following package arrangements:  K-3,
4-5, 6-8, and secondary courses.

Since the booklets will be shipped directly to the schools, 
except in cases where the request has been made that they be
shipped to the central office, you may wish to notify
schools to expect a shipment from this company between
October 5 and October 9.  If you have not received copies of
the booklets after October 9, please direct any questions
regarding the delivery to Ms. Carolyn Rush, representative
for Phillips Brothers, at 1-800-637-9327.
