SUBJECT: Virginia Retirement System (VRS) Contribution 

  
Attached is a letter dated July 26, 1999, from Mr. William 
H. Leighty, Director of VRS, which provides the fringe 
benefit contribution rates approved by the VRS Board of 
Trustees for fiscal years 2000, 2001, and 2002. The 
contribution rates approved for fiscal years 2001 and 2002 
have been forwarded to the Governor for consideration in 
his 2000-2002 budget proposal.  The actual rates will be 
determined based upon final action by the Governor and the 
2000 General Assembly.

questions regarding the use of VRS rates in Standards of 
Quality (SOQ) funding, please contact Mr. Kent C. Dickey, 
Budget Office, at (804) 225-2025.
