SUBJECT: House Joint Resolution Commending the Public Schools 
Enclosed for your information is a copy of House Joint 
Resolution 612 agreed to by the 1999 Virginia General 
Assembly commending public schools in Virginia "for their 
continuing commitment to excellence in education."

We were requested to send a copy of the joint resolution 
to all school divisions so that they "may be apprised of 
the sense of the General Assembly and the esteem in which 
they are held."

Please let me know if additional copies of the resolution 
are needed.
